Love is in the air!

Love was in the air at Menheniot Playgroup last month with lots of heart inspired arts and crafts. We all thought about special people in our lives and talked about who we love and why.

We celebrated different cultures and learnt about Chinese New Year; a time for spring cleaning, family reunions, elaborate meals and the giving of blessings (red packets containing money).

We tried eating noodles and prawn crackers with chop sticks, learnt how to say Nî hâo and Gong xi fa cai and we even tried to write in Chinese. We also made our own giant dragon and danced around with it!

Last month saw our first foray into the forest and the start of our weekly Forest School adventures down in the woods, getting stuck into nature and enjoying the great outdoors. This is going to be so much fun!

We also collected for the Pirate FM 'Tonne of Tins' appeal and gathered loads of tins of food to take to the local food bank.

Our Little Owls baby and toddler group has been especially lively lately with lots of fun and new friends to be made for babies, toddlers and their grown-ups. Please do join us with your little ones in the Old School every Tuesday during term time from 1:30 to 3pm, just £2 per family.
